FAQS

  • How much does it cost for a veterinary care visit?

There is no uniform cost for each vet visit for your pet. It will all depend on what services you choose or choose not to use. Treatment costs for any potential illnesses found during routine health exams can add additional costs too.

  • Why should I spay/neuter my pet?

There are several long-term health benefits to spaying/neutering your pet, just ask your veterinarian. The most obvious benefit is that your pet will no longer be able to reproduce, reducing the number of unexpected pets.

  • How can I stop my dog from eating its poop?

This is more common than you might think. Plenty of dogs will eat their stool. You can try to purchase a product called “FOR-BID” and sprinkle it on your dog’s food. It makes your dog’s stool taste worse. You can also tamper with your dog’s stool by putting hot sauce on it to act as a deterrent.

  • When do dogs/cats go into heat?

Dogs and cats typically reach puberty at about six months of age. After they reach puberty, female dogs will usually go into heat twice a year. The heat cycle takes about 3 weeks to complete. Female cats are a little different, they go into heat seasonally. Cats typically go through heat every three weeks during the spring, summer, and fall.

  • What is the normal body temperature for cats and dogs?

The normal body temperature range for cats and dogs is between 101- and 102.5-degrees Fahrenheit.
